Sterile Compounding Supervisor

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Sterile Compounding Supervisor to join our Pharmacy team in Omaha. In this role, you will oversee sterile compounding operations and be responsible for leading and supporting a team of sterile compounding technicians, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, monitoring workflow, facilitating training and development, and driving quality improvement initiatives. This role also serves as a key liaison between departments to ensure timely and accurate medication preparation and delivery that supports safe and effective patient care.

Provide oversight for day-to-day operations for designated location. Partner closely with all team members to serve as an operational, clinical, customer service and patient care advocate. Provide/coordinate technical skills training for staff in cooperation with Sr. Technicians and other team members as appropriate to the trainee. Provide guidance to and/or assist team members on non-routine or escalated issues and complete performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions in cooperation with appropriate manager. Insure that all team members are valued and engaged. Lead the professional staff to embrace their roles by engaging and empowering the technical staff, students, product supply associates and each other to insure that patient needs are met in a timely, reliable and safe manner

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of five years clinical practice experience in the clinical specialty or an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency required.

* Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.

* Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills required.

* Basic knowledge in office computer tools such as Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, an Outlook required.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Pharmacist experience within Nebraska Medicine preferred.

* Prior leadership experience preferred.

* American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency or equivalent of three years experience preferred.

* (BPS) and/or ASHP certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice strongly preferred.
