About this Opportunity:

As a Manager, DevOps, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures all those involved in the software delivery life cycle are working together toward a common goal. This position will play a strategic role in the design of application and infrastructure systems used by Orion. This position performs duties including the development and performance of team members and the processes used by them and performs daily tasks which hold team members accountable for their work. In this role, you'll get to:

  • Manage a team of team members, including hiring, training, and developing talent; assigning work; conducting performance appraisals; making salary recommendations; coaching; and administering corrective actions as needed

  • Mentor and supports team members through instruction, real-time feedback, and modeling effective practices that build capability and confidence

  • Ensure that the DevOps, Application Development, and Enterprise Architecture teams involved in the software delivery life cycle are working together on a common objective of improving quality and velocity of software delivery

  • Improve team efficiency by increasing automation, removing bottlenecks, and promoting agile practices and collaboration within the technology organization

  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages open communication, learning, and engagement

  • Play a strategic role in the design and build of state-of-the-art application/infrastructure systems with the high emphasis on security

  • Manage service delivery, systems reliability, and scalability of a multi-tenant platform in a SaaS based environment

  • Build, configure, and maintain the frameworks, tools, and systems that enable optimal performance of the business applications

  • Be accountable for all aspects of code deployment in a CI/CD model and technical operations

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and delivers operational efficiency to support functional and enterprise goals

  • Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to review priorities, remove barriers, and align efforts toward business goals

  • Be responsible for build processes, and roll outs of updates and new software components

  • Be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting deployment issues and/or hardware issues

  • Assist in the development of new programming applications and maintenance of existing applications

We're looking for talent who:

  • Has minimum of a bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field

  • Obtain Orion Industry Certification

  • Has minimum of 10 years of experience in IT or DevOps

  • Has minimum of 5 years of technical leadership experience

  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:

$108,245.00 - $169,933.00

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
